Meet the Team!
Abigail Eisley RN, BSN, IBCLC
Lactation Support
Abbi founded Wild Fig Lactation to provide holistic lactation support to Baltimore families. She’s been a Registered Nurse for eleven years, and an IBCLC for eight. She lives in Baltimore City with her photographer husband and 4 year old daughter.
Her favorite Baltimore meals are the Ekiben tofu brah bowl with tempura broccoli, and Comptoir COVID lockdown sandwiches…iykyk!
Her breastfeeding story started with some unexpected challenges - tongue and lip ties, low-milk supply, ineffective latch, and postpartum anxiety. These experiences encouraged her to start a private practice where families can find practical ways to navigate similar issues.
Kate McGivern RN, BSN, IBCLC
Lactation Support
Kate lives in Baltimore County with her husband and three boys. She’s been an IBCLC for 9 years after working as a Labor & Delivery nurse for 16 years!
Most of her time outside of work is spent driving her boys to and from sports events. She loves trying new restaurants, traveling, and the Outlander novels.
She navigated low supply, oral ties, and slow weight gain among other things during her three unique breastfeeding journeys. She loves holding babies, so feel free to take a break and use the bathroom while she’s there!
Annie Cantrell, RN, BSN, IBCLC
Admin Support
Annie provides admin support to keep everything running smoothly! She is an experienced RN and IBCLC having worked on an L&D unit and in a birth center.
She has two boys and is actively nursing her second probably right at this moment! She has had her fair share of inflamed ducts and feelings of overwhelm as a new mom, but loves the bond she has with her kids.
She loves to camp, hike, nurse in nature, and sew her own clothes!

I am always looking for empathetic, motivated, and experienced RN-IBCLCs to provide Baltimore City & County families with in-home and virtual support.
You’ll get competitive compensation, control over your schedule, a team to learn from, and the perks of self-employment without the headaches of running a business. We provide some supplies (bottles, flange fitting items, nipple shields) and handle all EMR costs, credentialing and billing.
Requirements: Active RN license and IBCLC cert, hands-on lactation experience, willingness to finish the following courses prior to starting: IBCLC Holistic Masterclass, Rachel O’Brien’s or Susan Howard’s Bottle Skills, and the Babies in Common Pumping & Flange Fitting. You’ll also need your own scale accurate to 2g and transportation. Regular commitment expected but we are flexible as to how many clients you wish to see.
You must love working with new families, provide equitable and inclusive care without judgment, be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and the flu (and wear a mask when asked to), and have weekly availability to provide continuity of care.
