Baltimore Lactation Support
Abbi started Wild Fig Lactation in 2024 to provide family-centered care that brings ease into the feeding relationship.
Her feeding story started with some unexpected challenges - tongue and lip ties, low-milk supply, and postpartum mental health issues.
She lives in Baltimore City with her photographer husband and her 5 year old daughter. They love traveling, pizza Thursdays, and riding bikes!
Kate McGivern RN, IBCLC
Kate lives in Towson with her husband and three boys. She’s been an IBCLC for 11 years after working as a Labor & Delivery nurse for 16 years!
She navigated low supply, oral ties, and slow weight gain among other things during her three unique breastfeeding journeys.
Most of her time outside of work is spent driving her boys to and from sports events. She loves trying new restaurants, traveling, and reading new books.

Annie Cantrell, RN, IBCLC
Annie joins us from Asheville, NC! She has two busy boys, enjoys camping, hiking, and sewing her own clothes.
She has 13 years of experience in the perinatal world and her own lactation practice - Milkweed Lactation.
Annie has advanced training in virtual prenatal classes and is here to answer all your questions so you feel more confident from the start!

Julia runs things behind the scenes from Richmond, VA where she lives with her family and five cats!
She is our go-to for all scheduling and billing needs.

Looking for a Lactation Consultant job in Baltimore, MD?
I am always looking for empathetic, motivated, 1099 contract RN-IBCLCs to provide Baltimore City & County families with in-home and virtual support.
You’ll get competitive compensation, control over your schedule, a team to learn from, and the perks of self-employment without the headaches of running a business. We provide most supplies (bottles, flange fitting items, nipple shields) and handle all EMR costs, credentialing and billing.
Requirements: Active RN license and IBCLC cert, CPR cert, up to date with vaccinations, and willing to mask when asked to. Experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
The following education is also required prior to starting:
-Jennifer Tow’s IBCLC Holistic Masterclass OR Luna Lactation’s Tongue/Lip Tie Training
-Rachel O’Brien OR Susan Howard’s Bottle Skills Class
-Babies in Common Pumping & Flange Fitting Course (Virtual or In-Person)
You’ll also need your own scale accurate to 2g and reliable transportation. Regular commitment is expected, but there is flexibility as to how many clients you wish to see.
